Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup procedure whereby hair like incision strokes are created along the eyebrow to attempt to either enhance, reshape or create a natural looking appearance on the brows. The procedure entails the use of a nanoblade, which is dipped into a pigment that has been matched to natural hair colour and skin tone and is then glided along a sketched outline of the brow that has been drawn on and scrutinized beforehand. Whilst only penetrating up to 1mm into the skin, the pigment is deposited simultaneously with the creation of the hair like stroke leaving a feathered outline which will further be filled in the same manner.

 

Microblading is a form of semi-permanent makeup (or, tattoo) that provides a means to partially or fully camouflage missing eyebrow hair with the appearance of simulated hair using fine deposits of cosmetic tattoo pigments. Over time the strokes can blur and fade and will need to be refreshed.

The Process:

Our process consists of a mandatory two sessions to get your perfect brows. Think of the first session as laying the groundwork for beautiful brows. It generally will take three hours for this initial session, which includes a very detailed mapping of your new brows, discussion, and actual manual hairlike stroke application.

Everyone has different skin, and thus, everyone's experience will be a bit different. Following the first session you can expect brows that have a roadmap for your perfect brows. However, some find their brows after the first session might even look a bit scary!

 

***PLEASE NOTE brows after initial appointment may look:

• Darker than the color you and your artist choose

• Thicker than you anticipated

• Uneven or sparse in areas

• Red and Swollen

Keep in mind, this is ALL normal! You now have a wound on your face, and everyone's skin swells and deals with trauma differently. The most important thing to remember is NOT to touch the treated area, and follow aftercare instructions. We promise, these temporary side effects are again, NORMAL, and you are well on your way to the brows of your dreams.

 

Healing:

As a client, we make sure that you have all the proper information to lend a hand in a beautiful and successful healing process. It is IMPERATIVE to follow all instruction given to you by your artist to make your healing process as safe as possible. Failure to follow aftercare instructions can lead to undesired treatment results and/or in serious cases, infection.
